CrossLinks International Publishers offers publishing and author services for journals, books and magazines across all fields.
For Institutes:
- Journal publishing: DOI registration and metadata deposit with Crossref, including Crossmark; website hosting on Open Journal Systems (OJS); long-term digital preservation; production (copyediting and typesetting of accepted articles); advertising management; and preparation and submission of applications to indexing services.
- Journal launch and transfer: support with ISSN registration, website setup, editorial workflow setup and the drafting of publication policies in line with COPE guidance. Policies are adopted by each journal’s Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board (editorial policies) and owner (business and financial policies).
- Book and magazine publishing: editing, design, typesetting, ISBN registration, and print and digital distribution of academic, educational, professional and general-interest titles, including children’s titles.
For Authors
- English language editing: improves grammar, clarity and style. The content remains the author’s responsibility.
- Manuscript formatting: formats a manuscript to the guidelines of the chosen journal or publisher.
- Figure formatting: adjusts the size, resolution and layout of figures to meet technical requirements, without altering the underlying data.
- Similarity check: an advisory similarity report so that authors can make sure all sources are properly cited before submission. Journals carry out their own independent screening, which this report does not replace.
- Pre-submission package: language editing, manuscript formatting and figure formatting combined.
Safeguards for Author Services
- Author services are optional and are not required for submission to any journal, including the journals we publish.
- Fees for author services are paid to CrossLinks and are separate from journal article fees, which are set by each journal’s owner and published on the journal’s website.
- Using our services does not influence editorial decisions and does not guarantee acceptance, faster review or publication.
- Author services are provided by staff who have no role in the editorial or peer review process of any journal we publish. CrossLinks does not inform editors or reviewers whether an author has used its services.
- Authors who use professional editing or formatting services, from CrossLinks or anyone else, should declare this in the Acknowledgements, as the journals require.
- Editors, reviewers and editorial office staff must not recommend or require CrossLinks author services in decision letters, revision requests or any other communication. Where language editing is advised, authors are told they may use any provider of their choice.
- Manuscripts checked through the CrossLinks similarity service are not stored in the similarity database, so they do not produce false matches when the journal runs its own check. The service helps authors cite sources correctly; it is not intended to reduce similarity by rewording.
- Staff who provide author services for a manuscript do not take part in the production of the same article if it is later accepted by a journal CrossLinks publishes.
